For Professors

Each professor signs up and creates a distribution list for each of the classes they are teaching that semester. Students can then join these groups by texting in from their phones or by visiting the website and searching for their class and section. The professor may then send a message to all students in any one class for purposes such as:

  • Notification that class is cancelled.
  • Term paper deadline reminders.
  • Last minute changes in test and exam location.

Sample scenario 1: Professor Harris has a bad cold and is going to miss his morning English 101 lecture. He signs into the Campus-411 with his mobile number and PIN that he set up at the beginning of the semester, sees a list of the courses he is teaching, and clicks "English 101." He then types his message, clicks Send, and his students know not to bother coming to class that day.
